About Trip:

Gyachung Kang is the high mountain of the Khumbu region. It is the highest peak between Everest and Cho Oyu. Its twin snow and rock peaks tower above the immediate surroundings, separated by a narrow saddle. The approach is easy by Gokyo Lake, then by crossing from the Ngozumpa glacier.

Outline Itinerary

DAY 01 Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel

DAY 02 Drive to Gundu (2,005m) one hour drive from Kathmandu for acclimatization. Accommodation in adventure Camp's luxury tents.

DAY 03 Morning sunrise view of the mountains. During the day you can visit Phulchoki, the highest point overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Camp.

DAY 04 Fly Kathmandu to Lukla & Trek to Phakding. Overnight in Himalayan Chain Resort (HCR)

DAY 05 Trek to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in lodge.

DAY 06 Trek to Khumjung. Overnight in HCR.

DAY 07 Rest day at Khumjung for acclimatization & change of porters & yaks.

DAY 08 Trek to Dole (4,200m). Overnight in lodge/tent.

DAY 09 Trek to Macchermo (4,410m). Overnight in lodge/tent

DAY 10 Trek to Gokyo Lake (4,750m)Overnight in lodge/tent

DAY 11 Rest day at Gokyo for acclimatization.

DAY 45 Trek back to Gokyo Lake. Overnight in lodge/tent.

DAY 47 Trek back to Phakding. Overnight at HCR.

DAY 48 Trek back to Lukla. Overnight in lodge.

DAY 49 Fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel Garden Home.

DAY 50 Free day in Kathmandu.

DAY 51 Departure from Kathmandu.
